Q 13. The valley of ashes lie between one of the Eggs and New York. Why did author
position the valley in such place?
A 13. I think the author placed it between the Eggs and Newyork because he wanted to show the emptiness and colorless and dim feeling to the readers. In fact the valley of ashes is where you burry the garbages, he wanted them to feel that there is something unpleasent and disgusting between the two.

ashes' at the first part of the chapter? Also, why did he talk about the Doctor
T.J.Eckleburg advertisement?Does it have a specific role?
A 35. Like i said before, I think the author wanted to show something unpleasant and disgusting is between Newyork and the two eggs. Not physically only, mentally and emotionally too. The advertisment was mentioned too because the author wanted to make the readers feel that something strange is looking at the people that are passing the valley of ashes. I think the role of it is to kind of aware the readers.
